About This Content Step back in time to the golden age of the classic adventure serial, and join archaeologist/adventurer Rick Rider as he searches the globe for the lost Treasure of Patit 5d3b920ae0 Title: FSX: Steam Edition - Treasure Hunt Add-OnGenre: SimulationDeveloper:Jane Rachel WhittakerPublisher:Dovetail Games - FlightRelease Date: 20 May, 2016 FSX: Steam Edition - Treasure Hunt Add-On Key Serial Number This is an excellent DLC, which is both fun and challenging. The missions keep you on your toes, and the story-line adds further depth and interest. This is a nice step up from the rather bland FSX included missions. I throughly recommend this DLC for content and value for money.. hard to feather the engine. Bought this on sale and I'm really enjoying it! Had an issuse similar to Akeel's, regarding the 1st and 4th missions. The 4th mission crashed every time I played it, as soon as I pressed any key. This was resolved by doing a file verification through Steam. As far as mission 1, well, after toying with the plane in free flight, I was able to fly the mission with no problems. After feathering the prop, shutting down fuel to the bad engine, and giving the bad engine about a 5 degree lift (so that you are leaning to the left, ugh), I learned that you can actually gain air speed and altitude, by watching the vertical airspeed indicator. Just keep it level, and airspeed will increase. I was pulling back too much, attempting to keep the nose up too much. I discovered that keeping the nose level, the airspeed can get as high as 100 knots. Gradually raising the nose not more than 1 or 2 degrees will give you the altitude to go as far as you want! I easily was able to get to 1500 feet, and could have gone higher, and was able to negotiate the turns needed to make the landing at ATC's indicated runway. As an addendum, what I do to increase the fun and realism, I don't use the GPS. After I've worked out the clue, I go into the Map through the Alt menu, and work out my flight VOR to VOR, if possible, without filing a flight plan. I write down all the VOR's, with bearings that I take with a compass held to the computer monitor in such a way as to produce an accurate heading. I list these with the VOR frequencies, and off I go! Adds to the suspense, am I going the right way or what? But it's loads of fun. You can't do it on every mission, but on the one's you can, try it, it will really enhance your enjoyment of the sim! This isn't the first Jane Whittaker add-on I've purchased, and I'm looking forward to more from her.. I really enjoy this mission pack!! There is no reason to ever have the mission compass on. Mission 1 is a challenge. Unless you've been "checked out" for the Grummon Goose. It's gonna take some learnin. ;) The thunderstorms are more work. I also like the music, wish there was more. I've only gotten one song per mission! (Not sure if there is supposed to be more. As there is usually something wrong w/downloads. In my experience.) I also like when she reads the clues at the begining of the flight. (Pretty much the same as the briefing.) But it would be nice to have a little commentary during the flight. Maybe a little back story about how they figured to go to a certain destination. Or maybe some history on the Patiti Treasure. I get it. It's a flight sim first. I do also use ATC during the missions. Maybe that's a factor. La di Da.. I like flying the Gruman goose. The challeges are mostly to get the rewards, and not falling a sleep on the long boring flights. THE MUSIC IS TERIBLE THANKS FOR THE "Q".
